We’re Jersey Fresh!

This week we celebrate Jersey Fresh Tomatoes and Corn!
Stop by our welcome table to guess the weight of the tomatoes on display, then head over to Chickadee Creek to buy a whole lot of tomatoes!

Kids can also learn a bit about corn at our welcome table (and get a prize), Plus…  Pensive Weeds will have locally grown native flowers and herbs for children to compose their own bouquets. Pensive Weeds is a garden design, installation and maintenance and floral design business, focusing on sustainability and ecological restoration.

Around the market, you’ll find lots of good food to grill up and serve alongside your tomatoes and corn…. Beechtree grass-fed meats, Wildspawn Mushrooms… and lots of other tasty treats.

The one thing you won’t find at the market this week, though, is corn. Here’s a message from Chickadee Creek explaining the situation: “Heads-up: We will not have corn this weekend! The raccoons ate every ear (1000s) of our current succession planting. We’re trying evasive maneuvers for the next one, but it won’t be ready by this Saturday” (:
