Since 2009 the Pennington Farmers Market has supported local farmers and vendors to foster greater health in the Hopewell Valley community. Every Saturday from May to November, 350 people visit our community farmers market. We host local farmers (within a 50 mile radius) selling fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, and eggs from pasture-raised animals grown without hormones or antibiotics. Shoppers also find freshly baked breads and sweets, local honey, maple syrup from the Sourland Mountains, flowers, and wines. Occasionally handmade soaps and lotions, artisan crafts, locally roasted organic coffee and more. People come to our market for more than just shopping – they come to have a community experience. They meet friends, listen to local musical talent, involve their children in fun crafts or activities and enjoy other special events throughout the season.
We are building a market that contributes to our local economy and helps create a real sense of community. We invite you to join us and be a part of what we are building. Your sponsorship will help us continue to grow and increase our service to our community by:
- Hosting musicians at the market
- Creating children’s crafts and educational activities
- Promoting local community groups and nonprofits
- Advertising and marketing to increasing awareness of the market in the community
- Partnering with local non-profit organizations to collect and donate food for distribution to low income individuals and households
