Last Sunday Jess Niederer, the force behind Chickadee Creek Farm, received the Jack Gleeson Environmental Achievement award from the Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (FoHVOS).
The Gleeson Award is in recognition of Jack Gleeson, founding member and first president of FoHVOS. When Jess launched Chickadee Creek Farm in 2010, she was the sole employee and farmed 2 acres. Now, the farm has 12 employees, farming 20 acres of vegetables, selling at 7 weekly farmers markets, with 1,100 CSA members.
We are proud that Jess has been an importance presence at our Market from the very beginning. Thank you Jess for all your work within the Hopewell Valley community and beyond!
