The U.S. Department of Agriculture proclaimed the first National Farmers Market Week in 1999. Since then, every year during the first full week of August, we celebrate the importance of farmers markets and the contributions they make to our society. Farmers markets provide their local communities with fresh produce, local goods, and that family-oriented feel that makes farmers markets a great place to have memorable experiences. While this is obviously not a normal season for us, we are still happy to see our customers showing up week after week, and are so grateful for your enthusiasm and support.
