Lydia Francis and her family are one of the newest additions to our Market. Together they happily manage The Shepard’s Pasture in Bordentown. They plan to bring to bring wool and cashmere fiber, plus cut flowers, sprouts, potted herbs, goat milk soap and market bags.
We’ll let Lydia tell you more about their farm:  “The Shepherd’s Pasture Shetland Sheep are raised on pasture with proper animal husbandry a top priority. All wool is hand prepared starting with blade shearing followed by washing and carding. Additionally, we raise Cashmere goats for a luxurious fine fiber. Our wool and cashmere fiber is either left in its natural color of white or brown, or it is dyed with locally grown organic plant material such as marigolds or black walnuts.”
